Professionally, Shalyn serves as a Community Engagement Coordinator, where she focuses on building partnerships, strengthening community networks, and connecting individuals with critical resources and services. She also has experience working in healthcare support roles, giving her insight into the systems families often navigate while caring for children with complex needs.
Through her leadership, Shalyn is committed to expanding inclusive programming, developing sustainable partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities that empower families and ensure children of all abilities are supported and celebrated in their communities.

Yazmin Jackson serves as the Vice President of Beyond the Diagnosis Foundation, Inc., where she supports board leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development to help expand the foundation’s programs and long-term impact.
With over 11 years of professional experience, Yazmin brings a strong background in technology, operations, and systems management. She currently works as a Software Engineer, Business Analyst, and Engagement Manager, contributing expertise in technical problem-solving, project coordination, and operational strategy.
Yazmin is also pursuing her Master’s degree in Education, further strengthening her commitment to advocacy, learning, and community impact. Her professional experience combined with her passion for service helps guide the foundation’s mission to support families raising children with disabilities through thoughtful leadership, transparency, and sustainable growth.

Alee Herrera serves as the Director of Marketing for Beyond the Diagnosis Foundation, Inc., where she leads social media outreach, marketing strategy, and community engagement efforts that help expand the organization’s mission and visibility.
She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Marketing and brings experience in leadership and community service, including her involvement with the National Honor Society and her role as a Rotary Club Secretary. In addition to her professional background, Alee is the owner of The Berry Thing, where her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit continue to grow.
Alee is passionate about using her marketing expertise to strengthen community partnerships, promote inclusive programs, and support initiatives that empower single mothers raising children with disabilities.

Ella McElroy serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for Beyond the Diagnosis Foundation, Inc., where she oversees the recruitment, scheduling, and support of volunteers who play a vital role in the success of the organization’s programs and community events.
Ella has been involved with the foundation since its earliest days, generously volunteering her time at events and supporting the mission from the very beginning. Her consistent dedication, reliability, and willingness to serve made her a natural fit to step into a leadership role within the organization.
As Volunteer Coordinator, Ella is passionate about creating a welcoming, positive, and well-organized volunteer experience. She believes that when people come together with compassion and purpose, they can create meaningful change for families raising children with disabilities.
